Yoga, Movement & FRC Classes in and around Ashford.
Hannah qualified as a yoga and prenatal teacher with the Victor Foundation in 2012 and is a certified Functional Range Conditioning mobility specialist.
She teaches classes, workshops, retreats and one to ones. This year she is launching Yoga Reloaded along side Emma Epton: a modern training programme for yoga teachers who want to update their teaching with science based methods.
Hannah's classes combine Functional Range Conditioning with yogasana, creating a unique, ever-evolving, intelligent movement class for everybody.
With playful movement and often unusual props (jenga blocks, socks and tennis balls anyone?!) These fun, challenging classes also incorporate diaphragmatic breathing, a balance of proprioceptive and interoceptive awareness and mindfulness practices. They end in shavasana, and each class aims for students to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system to enable deep relaxation.
"I have been practicing yoga for 12 years, teaching for 7, and am excited to be part of and witness the evolution of the way yoga is being taught.
Developments in Science and biomechanics has given us more understanding of what better serves the modern human. I'm constantly learning and am fascinated with many movement and brain-based practices and the function of the nervous system.
It's taken me a while to be comfortable calling what I teach yoga as it doesn't always fit the yoga box! But the focus is on what best serves the individual and supports whatever they do in life, rather than the pose as the goal."
